Your sales and marketing strategy, activities and actions will play a key part in the successful growth of your business. It is vitally important that you get it right. Someone to talk toIt can be hard on your own thinking things through, making decisions, keeping projects on track and maintaining focus and motivation. It is good to have someone on your level to talk to, to share things with and who gives you ideas. Getting it doneOur professional marketing mentoring process has been designed to offer structure, flexibility and practical support. Your mentor will help you to plan and deliver a sales and marketing strategy that is right for your business and then work with you to plan and project manage any marketing services you need to support that. The right plan for youHaving discussed where you are now and where you want to be in the future your mentor will work with you to define the best way of getting there. This may involve choosing number of key areas from our mentoring menu as appropriate. Our mentoring menu
Keeping the focusYour mentor will usually meet with you once a month for anything from a two-hour to a half-day session. Telephone mentoring sessions can also be arranged. Following the meeting your mentor will create a summary of the key ideas you discussed and the actions you agreed on. The actions will then be pursued during the period until the next meeting. This system ensures momentum is maintained but that enough time is allowed to enable the actions to be taken. Practical supportYou may want your mentor (or one of our experts) to carry out a number of practical activities for you in-between your monthly sessions. For example, it might be writing your marketing plan, giving feedback on your website, writing a brochure or website brief for the designer, creating your USP, guarantee or strap-line, writing a tele-marketing brief, writing some advertising copy or a sales letter, writing a press release, setting up some initial press relationships for you or creating an email campaign. Your mentoring programme Your mentoring programme can last for as little as 3 months or as much as 12 months or more. It depends on what you need. Mentoring is paid for on a retainer basis, with a monthly hourly commitment to an appropriate mix of meeting time and practical support. Unused hours can be carried over and additional time can be booked as required. Mentoring in Oxford and mentoring in the Thames Valley can be face-to-face or telephone mentoring can be provided.
